Feast of Saint John:
Brothers of Logan Lodge,
We will celebrate the Feast of St. John the Baptist on Saturday, June 23. Cocktails will begin at 5:30PM and dinner will be at 7:00PM.
This traditional Masonic event celebrates the A.D.1717 founding of the original Grand Lodge of England and marks... the birth of modern Freemasonry.
This adult event is for members, our companions, and potential members of Logan Lodge. The lodge will provide lasagna, corned beef, sliced ham, cheese, breads, condiments, soft drinks, ice, and tableware. Brothers are asked to bring side dishes to share and adult beverages.
Senior Warden Matthew Detjen and his wife Joellyn are graciously opening their home to host this year's event. They live at 2519 N. Delaware Street, Indianapolis, IN 46205. Matt suggests that following dinner we take the party to the back yard, so you might also consider bringing lawn chairs.
Dress appropriately for lodge, but we will NOT wear aprons or gloves. As we did last year, feel free to proudly wear an award or jewel of an order or organization within the Masonic family.
Honorary Member, Worshipful Brother Carson C. Smith is tentatively scheduled to speak, as he has done the past few years.
Please RSVP the number of your party by sending an email response to cjkarlson@yahoo.com or preferably by posting on the "Feast of St. John the Baptist" Facebook event page.
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Christopher J. Wilson, Junior Warden
